Blood glucose unit converter
Convert the same glucose concentration between mg/dL and mmol/L.
Formula & units
Glucose (mmol/L) = glucose (mg/dL) ÷ 18
For the reverse conversion, multiply mmol/L by 18. This commonly rounded factor is used consistently throughout EndoCalc.
Worked example
90 mg/dL = 5.00 mmol/L. A glucose value of 7 mmol/L = 126 mg/dL.
What the result can tell you
Glucose mmol/L and HbA1c mmol/mol measure different things. Conversion alone does not classify diabetes or indicate when the sample was collected.
